General rules of Unicorn University competitions

1. General provisions
1.1
The organiser of the competitions is Unicorn University Ltd.

2. Conditions of participation in the competition
2.1
The competition is open to persons who are 15 years of age or older at the time of the competition.
2.2
The winner can only be a contest participant with a delivery address in the Czech and Slovak Republic.
2.3
Employees of the competition organiser and persons close to them are excluded from the competition pursuant to Section 22 of Act No. 89/2012 Coll., the Civil Code. In the event that the winner is a person who is an employee of the organizer or a person close to the organizer, the prize will not be handed over. In this case, the competition will be evaluated again and a new winner will be selected.
2.4
The user enters the competition by signing up for the newsletter or according to other specific rules determined by the Promoter prior to the start of the competition through the information available on the website, social media or at attendance events.
2.5
The competition period is from 8 October 2024 to 22 November 2024.
3. Winning and contacting the winners
3.1
The winners will be selected from the entrants by draw.
3.2
The winners will be announced no later than 14 days from the stated closing date and will be contacted directly by the Promoters.
3.3
If the contestant does not respond and confirm his/her interest in the prize within 7 calendar days, the prize will be forfeited to the Promoter.
4. Prizes
4.1
The prize for the competition is 100% off the annual tuition fees at Unicorn College in the programme and form of study of the winner's choice. The discount is applicable for 2 years from the winner's receipt of the prize.
4.2
The prize cannot be exchanged for cash or claimed other than as specified by the competition organiser. Any tax consequences for the winner remain the sole responsibility of the winner.
4.3
The prize is not subject to any legal claim and cannot be claimed by the winner in court.
4.4
The prizes will be handed over to the winners either at the organiser's headquarters, or will be sent by post to the address in the Czech Republic provided by the winner, or in electronic form by e-mail. If the parcel is returned, no further attempt at delivery will be made and the winner will have the option to collect the prize from the organiser's office within 7 days of the return or the prize will be forfeited.
5. Rights and obligations of the Promoter
5.1
The Promoter reserves the right to terminate or suspend the Competition at any time, amend the terms and conditions, declare notifications sent to winners invalid or, without notice or any compensation, block the participation of entrants who enter the Competition in breach of good morals.
5.2
The Promoter shall not be liable if a winner has provided an incorrect address or email address. The Promoter is also not responsible for any other reasons why the winner did not receive the prize, unless such reasons are attributable to the Promoter.
5.3
If the Promoter has reasonable grounds to suspect fraudulent, dishonest or unfair conduct by a competitor or any other person who has helped or may have helped the competitor to win, the competitor will be excluded or blocked from the competition.
5.4
Participation in the Competition cannot be enforced by legal action.
5.5
The Promoter reserves the right to change the terms and conditions of the competition during the competition without prior notice.
6. Processing of personal data
6.1
The Promoter informs the Contestant that it will process the following personal data for the duration of the Contest: name, surname, contest nickname, photograph, e-mail, telephone number and, where applicable, delivery address. The Contestant is entitled to obtain information from the Organiser about the processing of his/her personal data and has the right to have this data corrected or deleted.
7. Final provisions
7.1
The Organiser shall not be liable for incorrect or inaccurate information in connection with the Competition caused by human error or technical defect.
7.2
The Promoter is not responsible for technical or telecommunication difficulties or other deficiencies that may restrict a competitor from participating in the competition.
7.3
The Promoter advises that any intent to damage any website or to interfere with the legitimate running of the Competition may be considered a breach of law and lead to disqualification from the Competition.
