“If you want to work in the IT, you must speak English,” she says. That was the principal reason why Karin Gulíková enrolled in the study programme taught in English. Other selection criteria included the university’s personalised approach to students and its online study materials. “In the past, I had to attend each lecture in person and when I missed it, it was my problem. At Unicorn University, everything is available online and I can actually study anywhere,” she says. Karin takes advantage of that when she goes to visit her family in Slovakia. “Once I listened to a lecture while driving,” she says. Karin also appreciates the personalised approach of her lecturers who can communicate their knowledge in an engaging manner.
