The aim of the course is to provide comprehensive information in all contexts so that the student is able to orientate in key areas of insurance and to understand the principles of information systems that are used in insurance companies.

Introduction to insurance and insurance companies in the Czech RepublicInsurance history, insurance trends (microinsurance, IoT in insurance companies, pay as you drive, ...). Types of insurance in the Czech Republic. Differences between the European market and the American market. The largest insurance companies in the world and in the Czech Republic and their focus. Czech Insurance Bureau and Czech Insurance Association. General legislation.
Life and non-life insuranceTypes, principles, possibilities. Saving and investing in life insurance.
Actuarial mathematics, methodology and product portfolioWho is who (role) in the insurance company. How are products constructed, how is the price of products determined, insurance vs. sum insured, provisions for unearned premiums. GIS - Crime in areas, GIS - Accident in areas.
Large risks, co-insurance and reinsurance, subscription, Czech Nuclear Insurance PoolOptional security. Compulsory insurance (XL, MET, LV, ...). Active / passive hedging.
Contract negotiation and trading systemsSales network (internal, external, brokers, MLM, ...). From when does the contract come into force (creation by signature, creation by payment). Analysis of client needs. Contract Vs. proposal for concluding an insurance contract. Withdrawal from the contract by the client or insurance company. Cross sell, up sell, campaigns. Underinsurance / overinsurance. Legislative restrictions (NOZ, GDPR, FATCA, AML). Acquisition commissions. Affiliation of the insurance pool.
Contract management - the entire life cycle of a contractRenewal after a year, reassignment to a new product. Intervention. Risk assessment, exclusions and surcharges, special arrangements, public promises. Technical / non-technical changes; cancel. GIS - Flood zones.
Claims settlementLegislative restrictions (NOZ, GDPR and others). Disposal by invoice / budget. Amortization. Long-term liquidation / annuities. Calamity. PU type survival. GIS - Weather in certain localities, occurrence of hail, lightning. GIS - Coverage of mobile technicians and services. Tours (use of drones). Assistance services and liquidation with insurance partners.
