ICT Infrastructure of IS

6 ECTS
Bachelor
Czech | English
Michal Kökörčený

The course aims at acquainting students with key terms and principles of ICT infrastructure. From end stations, through servers to networks and modern trends in ICT infrastructure. Due to the growth of cloud services in the ICT market, students get also acquainted with cloud servers as a suitable alternative to traditional infrastructure solutions. In their semestral project, students master the administration of a chosen cloud service or design the infrastructure for the assigned information system in a technical project.

Course outline

ICT infrastructure classification
End stations, server infrastructure, data networks, data centres, services in ICT infrastructure.
Services in ICT infrastructure
Automation, virtualisation, backup, archiving.
Cloud services
