The course aims at explaining the importance of design patterns when designing information systems, of their knowledge and the practical benefits of using design patterns in information system development, as well as potential shortcomings of such an approach. Students gain theoretical knowledge of individual design patterns, the ability to model individual design patterns in UML and practical skills in their implementation in the given programming language.
