The course is designed as an introductory lecture into artificial intelligence. The course aims at introducing some fundamental ideas from selected fields of artificial intelligence. It puts emphasis on grasping useful basic principles. Such principles are useable for students from the perspective of their study, as well as other areas of human life, such as philosophy or psychology. The course also deals with the operation of some known applications of artificial intelligence, e.g. in computer games, robotics, expert systems, datamining etc. In the semestral project, students design a project with a chosen algorithm of artificial intelligence. The project is implemented in the form of a workshop where students solve an assignment and present their results
