Hybrid Education Centers in your country

Unicorn University currently proposed two teaching formats: Standard presence program in Prague, or Hybrid program in which students self-study and connect regularly through video calls for live consultations with the lecturers. All our programs are accredited by the Czech Ministry of Education (hence EU) and students receive the very same diploma regardless of the format.

We are looking for partners to expand our program offers.

We plan to propose a third format of studies: Group hybrid teaching from a remote location, in an academic environment.

We propose you to open such center in your country. The general idea is to operate an Education Center equipped with auditoriums prepared to welcome students to physically follow the hybrid consultation sessions. Students will be able to interact with the lecturer but also to exchange with other students present with them. They would follow exactly the same program as students in Prague and the ones following the courses online from home.

We run two distinct programs in English: Software Development and Business Management. Both are 3-year programs, (6 semester of teaching, + 1 internship). You are invited to open a group for each program.

Your benefits:

First of all, as a exclusive partner, you shall receive recruiting fees. Currently, with our tuition fees set at 4,000€ per year we propose 1,000€ per student recruited. As we are aiming at groups of 10 to 15 students in your center, this means between 10,000€ and 15,000€ per program. If your center proposes both the programs of Software Development and Business Management, you can count on about 30,000€ of revenue per cohort recruited.

In addition, we propose you to propose tutoring services with your own staff of lecturers. The tutors review the material with the students, in their local language, and explain them what they didn’t understand. This activity is not supervised by us. Group or private lessons, those extra services are exclusively yours and you set the fees you wish (Some sort of Premium service). We only ask to vouch the tutors through an interview ahead of the semester.

Right now, this project is targeting full Bachelor programs. However, Unicorn University is also accredited to propose hybrid Micro-credentials. Those short-term form of studies are meant as “blocks of studies”, typically two or three courses. The completion of such micro-credential grants the student an official and accredited certificate. This certificate bears a special code verifiable on the Czech and European Union portal. Micro-credentials can be presented on CVs and LinkedIn as official certification. In time, students can complete several Micro-credentials and get them recognized by Universities across Europe in order to get equivalence when enrolling in a full-term program. You are also invited to propose those micro-credentials to your clients and you shall receive recruiting fees.

Our part of the offer:

We provide the complete program of studies. Those programs are fully accredited and recognized internationally. If students wish to study in Europe for their Master’s studies, our Bachelors are obvious choices.

Since the last educational reform in the Czech Republic, Unicorn University is fully entitled to provide in-house nostrification. It means your selected students will go on a short track admission process. We’ll verify their High-school documents (translations in English are required), as well as their language skills. However, we entrust our partners with the quality of their selection and we hope most of your applicants will be accepted.

Each student is granted access to our in-house IT study system. In this system students get access to their schedule, grades, contacts with lecturers and the study department. They also have access to our material platform. Each course is associated with an interactive e-book covering all the content necessary for the course.

On weekly basis, the students shall meet in your center to follow their hybrid consultation with the lecturers. Our lecturers are specialists in their domain, most have PhD diplomas are approved by our accreditation body. Teaching is provided in English, from Prague in the Czech Republic. We aim at scheduling those consultations at the time that fits your time zone.

Our Marketing team will assist you in your efforts to promote the program by providing materials and documents. Joint marketing campaigns can also be envisioned.

The center is your business and we will not intervene in it. You are fully in control of it and can of course use it the way you wish. You won’t pay any franchising fees and we require only basic equipment (auditorium where students meet, table, chairs, WIFI connection and eventually a flat-screen TV monitor on the wall). Any extra amenities are welcome (secretariat, toilets, refreshments, etc) but not compulsory. Students are expected to provide their own computer.

If the programs are successful in your center, we hope to regularly visit it, and teach the students face-to-face in your center! We will also facilitate the process of inviting you visit Prague in order to participate in some of our conferences and workshops.

Finally, we would be very happy to join you physically in your center to officially inaugurate the center.

Why we believe in this project:

Financial & Familial

Not all students can go to Europe to follow their studies. The reasons might be financial (life in Prague costs at least 30,000€ for a 3-year period) or familial (students with a family or families not ready to let their child go alone to Prague for a long time).
This hybrid streaming system allows to study an accredited 3-y Bachelor’s program with live interaction for each lecture and pay only for the tuition’s fees (3x 4,000€= 12,000€), without the costs of living abroad (30,000€ min). It represents a significant financial difference.

A unique studying experience

The covid pandemic provided ample feedback about the inconvenience of distant studies. The main one from the students’ perspective is a feeling of loneliness, missing out the social interaction experienced when coming to the University.
Our hybrid program in your center is solving this limit as students will come regularly to class, meet with fellow students, be assisted by the secretariat and also have the possibility to interact with the lecturers and other students in other locations.

Žižkov

The school is located in Žižkov, near the picturesque Parukářka Park.

Vysočany

Classes are held in a renovated, modern building in Vysočany. The building also houses the study department.

Holešovice

Occasionally, classes are also held in the building in Holešovice, where Unicorn is based.
